Theme 3: Corrosion Prevention and Materials Processing

The interest is focused on the corrosion phenomena that impact industrial activities by involving safety, but also the longevity of materials and installations. Possible prevention by corrosion inhibitors, cathodic protection, anticorrosion coatings, thermomechanical treatments, etc. are subject of many research studies and permanent improvement. Follow-ups for a characterization of the corrosive environment and materials or metallic elements show considerable progress. CIDEEV will also be the place to take stock of innovative materials developed by different research teams to meet specific applications. Materials processing techniques will be studied: Cataphoresis, steel coil coating, non-metallic coatings, aluminum plate coatings, galvanizing, powder coating, liquid painting systems, electrochemical polymerization, inorganic films and protective hybrids obtained by sol-gel, thermomechanical treatments of anticorrosion surfaces, deep phosphating, anodizing of aluminum and its alloys ...
